Staying at Mureșenilor 9 was one of those travel memories I’ll keep with me — rare, rich, and deeply rooted in history. From the moment I stepped into this old gem in the historic center of Brașov, I felt like I’d crossed a threshold in time, as you will soon tell just by looking up on the plaque above the door: 1550(the year when this building was built)

The house is officially listed as a historical monument, but so lovingly restored that the old stones, the archways, the staircases — everything whispers stories without ever feeling stiff or frozen in a museum. You are literally stepping back in time but with modern amenities and comforts You can trace craftsmanship and design from the 16th century and beyond and you can just tell whoever restored the place, put a great deal of thought and love into it.

Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. Three minutes on foot to Piața Sfatului, four to the Black Church. You’re right in the heart of Brașov’s energy, with cafés, restaurants, cobblestone streets, tiny shops, and all the history you could hope for just outside the door. At the same time, once inside Mureșenilor 9, the bustle fades — it becomes your quiet, enchanting hideaway.

The decor blends history and elegance: ancient architectural details preserved, beautiful stone and wood work, big windows that bring in light, corridors and halls that feel like walking through history, but with all the resulting charm (no drafts, no creaking floors that keep you up at night!). It’s rare to find such authenticity and comfort.

Every corner, every beam, every step up a stair – it invites you to slow down, to breathe, to really notice details. You will see one next to one of the rooms on the wall. Not going to spoil it, you will have to notice it yourself. You sense that people cared — not just about restoring, but about making Mureșenilor 9 a home for travelers who want more than just sightseeing.

O locație perfecta din toate punctele de vedere! In centrul vechi al orașului, frumoasă, eleganta, amenajată cu mult bun gust curata.
